Alarm.com System User Codes:
Whether you’re adding a temporary code for a house sitter, creating a unique code for your kids, or deleting a code after someone no longer needs access, everything can be handled right from the Alarm.com app or website. In just a few taps, you can assign names to users, set schedules, and control exactly when their code works. And when access is no longer needed, you can remove it just as quickly.
Create A New User Code:
New system user codes can be created using the Customer app or Customer website.
Customer App:
- Log in to the Customer app.
- Tap
. - Tap Users.
- Tap
. - Enter the user's first and last name, and then tap Create.
- In Access Code, enter the user's desired code.
- Tap the toggle switch for the devices (i.e., panel partitions and locks) to enable/disable access for the user's code.
- Tap Save. Allow a few minutes for the new user code to be active at the panel.
- To add user contact information, tap Add Contact.
- Then tap either:
- Mobile Number. Enter the mobile number, and select the Country and Carrier using the dropdown menus.
- Email Address. Enter the email address, and select the Email Format using the dropdown menu.
- Tap Save to add the new contact information.
Allow a few minutes for new user codes to be active at the panel. If the new user code does not work at the panel or you have additional questions, contact your service provider.
Customer Website:
- Log in to the Customer website.
- Click Users.
- Click Add User.
- Enter the user's first and last name, and then click Create.
- In Access Code, enter the user's desired code.
- Click the toggle switch for the devices (i.e., panel partitions and locks) to enable/disable access for the user's code.
- Click Save. Allow a few minutes for the new user code to be active at the panel.

Delete a System User Code
Customer App:
- Log in to the Customer app.
- Tap
. - Tap Users.
- Tap
for the user to be deleted - Tap
Delete. - Tap Delete to confirm that you want to delete the user and all of the addresses associated with it.
Customer Website:
- Log in to the Customer website.
- Click Users.
- Click
for the user to be deleted - Click
Delete. - Click Delete User to confirm that you want to delete the user and all of the addresses associated with it.
To delete multiple system users using the Customer website: (commercial only)
- Log in to the Customer website.
- Click Users.
- Click More.
- Click Bulk Actions.
- Click to select the desired users to be deleted.
- Click
. - In Confirm Bulk User Deletion, click Delete.
Remove a user's security system access
Customer App:
- Log in to the Customer app.
- Tap
. - Tap Users.
- Tap
for the user to be deleted. - Tap
Edit. - Tap Panels.
- On the Device Access page, tap the toggle switch to disable the access points that the user code should no longer have access to.
- Tap Save.
Customer Website:
- Log in to the Customer website.
- Click Users.
- Click
for the user to be deleted. - Click
Edit. - Click Panels.
- On the Device Access page, click the toggle switch to disable the access points that the user code should no longer have access to.
- Click Save.
Add or delete door lock user codes
Customer App:
- Log in to the Customer app.
- Tap
. - Tap Users.
- Tap to select the user to manage lock access.
- If the user has not yet been created, tap
. - Tap
. - In Access Code, enter the user's desired code.
- Tap to toggle which devices to grant access to.
- Tap Save. Allow a few minutes for the changes to send to the lock.
- If the user should only have access to the devices during specific times, tap Time to select the user's access period to the device. Once the desired access period is selected, tap Save.
Customer Website:
- Log in to the Customer website.
- Click Users.
- Click
on the desired user. - Click
to edit user information. - Click
. - In Access Code, enter the desired user code.
- A new access code can also be generated by clicking Generate Code.
- Click to select which devices and features the user will have access to.
- Click Save to send the changes to the system. Allow a few minutes for the changes to send to the lock.
