Update Primary Contact Information
When you switch phones, especially if your number changes, it's crucial to update the primary contact information on your account. This ensures that you can be reached easily for any important notifications or updates from FOSS Security.

Adjust Rules and Notifications
Your Alarm.com system may have various rules and notifications set up to keep you informed about different events. When you get a new phone, make sure to update these settings so that the notifications go to your new device.

Update Alarm.com Places
If you use Geo-Devices with your FOSS Security system, it's important to keep this information up to date. Geo-Devices help manage your system based on your location, so ensuring your new phone is registered will keep things running smoothly.

Transfer app settings from a previously connected device to a new device:
App Settings Migration allows users who have either switched phones or deleted and re-downloaded the Alarm.com app to avoid creating multiple instances of the same device for Push Devices or Geo-Devices listed on the Alarm.com customer website.
The process will trigger automatically when the Alarm.com app registers if it was previously downloaded in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store from your account.
Note: This will work even if you switch app stores (i.e., Android to iPhone or vice versa).
